Gadar 2’s earnings:

The commercial hit starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, Gadar 2, has become the quickest Hindi film to break the Rs 500 crore milestone at the domestic box office. Within 24 days of its release, the super hit reached the coveted Rs 500 crore club. Gadar 2 follows in the footsteps of Shah Rukh Khan’s earlier movies Pathaan and SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2. While Pathaan took 28 days to surpass the Rs 500 crore mark, Baahubali 2 accomplished so in just 34 days.

According to early estimates, Sunny Deol’s newest flick earned roughly Rs 501.87 crore at the Indian box office as of Sunday. Gadar 2 grossed Rs 284.63 crore in its first week, Rs 134.47 crore the following week, and Rs 63.35 crore the following week. Anil Sharma’s newest directorial attempt earned Rs 5.20 crore on its fourth Friday, Rs 5.72 crore on its fourth Saturday, and is expected to earn over Rs 8.50 crore on its fourth Sunday. As of Sunday, the film’s total earnings were predicted to be Rs 501.87 crore.

Meanwhile, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap told Bollywood Hungama in an interview that while he hasn’t seen Gadar 2, he can see why it’s such a smash hit with audiences. He went on to say that the film’s marketing campaign cleverly linked with consumers’ cherished recollections of Gadar.

Kashyap, famed for films such as Gangs of Wasseypur and Kennedy, also stated that the original film was followed by Aamir Khan’s Lagaan and Farhan Akhtar’s Dil Chahta Hai. He stated that Gadar was far more successful than these two films and had the highest attendance. “When I say the marketing is so good, I mean that it has recreated Gadar’s nostalgia.” “The entire marketing campaign for Gadar 2 was Gadar 1,” the director told the entertainment website.

Gadar 2 is the sequel to the 2001 film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, which was co-produced by Zee Studios and Anil Sharma Productions. Tara Singh travels to Pakistan in 1971 to save his son Charanjeet Singh from the hands of the Pakistani Army. Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, Manish Wadhwa, Simrat Kaur, Luv Sinha, and Gaurav Chopra play pivotal parts in the film.
