Today’s Kumkum Bhagya 20th September 2023 episode starts with the aarti happening at Tandon’s house when Vishakha calls Akshay to do the aarti with Prachi while Prachi keeps looking at Ranbir while doing the aarti.Manpreet asks Mihika and Ranbir to perform aarti also.After some time Akshay tells them that he has called some dancers who will come here soon and after that they will break the handi.
He also tells them that the person who will break the handi is none other than Khushi.Just then, the dancers arrive there, including the man she hired to kidnap Khushi and start dancing.Everyone is enjoying the Radha Krishna song, when Khushi joins the dancers, followed by Ranbir and father-daughter performing to the tune of “Radha Radha Tere Bina Krishna Laage Aadhe Aadhe”.After the performance, Akshay signals his man to go and work with Khushi, while Ranbir gets a call and leaves Khushi there to attend the call.
After a while, Vishakha asks everyone to end the dance and music as it is time to break the Dahi Handi.Everyone agrees while Manpreet calls Khushi to come with him.However, Khushi is not there and everyone goes to call Khushi thinking that she will be inside.Just then, Prachi returns with a stick to break the handi and realizes that Khushi is nowhere to be found.Prachi tells them that Khushi is very fond of playing hide and seek and she must be hiding somewhere.
However, Prachi starts worrying about Khushi after searching every room and cupboard.On the other hand, Ranbir is talking on the phone when someone hits him and tries to snatch his phone.Ranbir runs after her and gets injured while wrestling with her for the phone.After a while Ranbir comes in and Ashok tells him that they are not finding happiness anywhere.Ranbir also thinks that Khushi is playing hide and seek but Manpreet and others tell him that they cannot find Khushi anywhere.
After some time, Akshay asks Ranbir about Khushi and accuses him of taking Khushi away from him.Ranbir tells him not to talk nonsense as he is Khushi’s father and would not do anything so cheap and scary to his daughter.However, Akshay tells him that he wants to take Khushi away from Prachi and this family, despite knowing that she likes him there.Akshay asks Ranbir to tell everyone that Khushi told him this and he tells him that he wants to live with Prachi and him as a family.
When Prachi asks, Ranbir tells her that he said so and there is nothing wrong in it while Akshay tells her that it is wrong because he did not like Khushi being in love with him and he tried to keep her away from the family and Prachi. He was kidnapped.Ranbir tells him not to talk nonsense as he would never do that to Khushi.The argument between Akshay and Ranbir escalates when Akshay asks Abhay to go and get the CCTV footage so that he can know what the real story is.
Meanwhile, Akshay notices scratch marks on Ranbir’s neck and tells everyone that Khushi might have tried to push him away when she found these marks.However, Ranbir gets angry and tells him that he does not need to do that as Khushi is his daughter and if he wanted to take her she would have easily come with him.However, Akshay tells him that he did the kidnapping because he is after Prachi.Ashok asks Akshay to control his tongue while Prachi asks him not to start this drama again.

आज का कुमकुम भाग्य 20 सितंबर 2023 का एपिसोड टंडन के घर में होने वाली आरती से शुरू होता है जब विशाखा अक्षय को प्राची के साथ आरती करने के लिए बुलाती है जबकि प्राची आरती करते समय रणबीर को देखती रहती है।मनप्रीत मिहिका और रणबीर को भी आरती करने के लिए कहता है।थोड़ी देर बाद अक्षय उन्हें बताते हैं कि उन्होंने कुछ नर्तकियों को बुलाया है जो जल्द ही यहां आएंगी और उसके बाद वे हांडी तोड़ देंगे।वह उन्हें यह भी बताता है कि जो व्यक्ति हांडी तोड़ेगा वह कोई और नहीं बल्कि खुशी है।
तभी, नर्तक वहां पहुंचते हैं, जिसमें वह आदमी भी शामिल होता है जिसे उसने ख़ुशी का अपहरण करने के लिए काम पर रखा था और नृत्य करना शुरू कर देता है।हर कोई राधा कृष्ण गीत का आनंद ले रहा है, जब ख़ुशी नर्तकियों में शामिल हो गई, उसके बाद रणबीर और पिता-बेटी ने “राधा राधा तेरे बिना कृष्ण लागे आधे आधे” की धुन पर प्रदर्शन किया।प्रदर्शन के बाद, अक्षय अपने आदमी को ख़ुशी के पास जाने और काम करने का संकेत देता है, जबकि रणबीर को एक कॉल आती है और वह ख़ुशी को कॉल अटेंड करने के लिए वहीं छोड़ देता है।थोड़ी देर बाद, विशाखा सभी को नृत्य और संगीत खत्म करने के लिए कहती है क्योंकि यह दही हांडी तोड़ने का समय है।
सभी सहमत हो जाते हैं जबकि मनप्रीत खुशी को अपने साथ आने के लिए बुलाता है।हालाँकि, ख़ुशी वहाँ नहीं है और हर कोई ख़ुशी को यह सोचकर बुलाने जाता है कि वह अंदर होगी।तभी, प्राची हांडी तोड़ने के लिए छड़ी लेकर लौटती है और उसे पता चलता है कि खुशी कहीं नहीं है।प्राची उन्हें बताती है कि ख़ुशी को लुका-छिपी खेलने का बहुत शौक है और वह कहीं छुपी होगी।हालाँकि, हर कमरे और अलमारी की तलाशी लेने के बाद प्राची को खुशी की चिंता होने लगती है।
दूसरी ओर, रणबीर फोन पर बात कर रहे होते हैं तभी कोई उन्हें मारता है और उनका फोन छीनने की कोशिश करता है।रणबीर उसके पीछे भागता है और फोन के लिए उससे उलझते हुए घायल हो जाता है।थोड़ी देर बाद रणबीर अंदर आता है और अशोक उसे बताता है कि उन्हें ख़ुशी कहीं नहीं मिल रही है।रणबीर भी सोचता है कि ख़ुशी छुपन-छुपाई खेल रही है लेकिन मनप्रीत और अन्य लोग उसे बताते हैं कि उन्हें ख़ुशी कहीं नहीं मिल रही है।थोड़ी देर बाद अक्षय रणबीर से ख़ुशी के बारे में पूछते हैं और उन पर ख़ुशी को उनसे दूर ले जाने का आरोप लगाते हैं।
रणबीर उससे कहता है कि वह बकवास न करे क्योंकि वह ख़ुशी का पिता है और अपनी बेटी के साथ इतना घटिया और डरावना कुछ नहीं करेगा।हालाँकि, अक्षय उससे कहता है कि वह ख़ुशी को प्राची और इस परिवार से दूर ले जाना चाहता है, यह जानने के बावजूद कि उसे वहाँ पसंद है।अक्षय ने रणबीर से सभी को यह बताने के लिए कहा कि ख़ुशी ने उसे यह बताया था और उसने उससे कहा कि वह प्राची और उसके साथ एक परिवार के रूप में रहना चाहता है।प्राची के पूछने पर रणबीर उसे बताता है कि उसने ऐसा कहा है और इसमें कुछ भी गलत नहीं है जबकि अक्षय उसे बताता है कि यह गलत है क्योंकि उसे खुशी का उससे प्यार करना पसंद नहीं था और उसने उसे परिवार और प्राची से दूर रखने के लिए उसका अपहरण कर लिया था।
रणबीर उससे कहता है कि वह बकवास न करे क्योंकि वह ख़ुशी के साथ ऐसा कभी नहीं करेगा।अक्षय और रणबीर के बीच बहस तब बढ़ जाती है जब अक्षय अभय से कहते हैं कि वह जाकर सीसीटीवी फुटेज ले आएं ताकि उन्हें पता चल सके कि असली कहानी क्या है।इस बीच, अक्षय ने रणबीर की गर्दन पर खरोंच के निशान देखे और सभी को बताया कि जब उसे ये निशान मिले तो खुशी ने उसे दूर धकेलने की कोशिश की होगी।
हालाँकि, रणबीर गुस्सा हो जाता है और उससे कहता है कि उसे ऐसा करने की ज़रूरत नहीं है क्योंकि ख़ुशी उसकी बेटी है और अगर वह उसे ले जाना चाहता तो आसानी से उसके साथ आ जाती।हालाँकि, अक्षय उसे बताता है कि उसने अपहरण इसलिए किया क्योंकि वह प्राची के पीछे पड़ा है।अशोक अक्षय को अपनी जुबान पर नियंत्रण रखने के लिए कहता है जबकि प्राची उसे यह नाटक दोबारा शुरू न करने के लिए कहती है।
