In his room, Sumeet has only thirty minutes left to persuade his family members to participate in a task set by Shagun. She prays for divine help. Rajeev, carrying a bucket of water, accidentally drops it, leaving a loose wire that starts releasing an electric current towards Myra. Sumeet rushes to the spot and asks Rajeev to switch off the main fuse immediately. Despite Rajiv struggling with the fuse box, with Sumeet’s quick thinking and Shlok’s help, they manage to save Myra from harm.
Shlok lifts Sumit in his arms and he holds Myra carefully. Sumeet takes this moment to convince his family that unity can help them deal with Shagun’s challenges. To motivate them, she brings saffron laddoos from the temple. She tells that by applying saffron tilak to the laddus, due to the different aroma, she can identify which drum her family members are in. Meanwhile, Abhay overhears Vani on the phone, causing him to worry about the doctor’s revelation of his infertility and Vani’s alleged infidelity.
Abhay asks Vani about the call and expresses his anger for not giving her priority. Masoom intervenes, supports Vani and insists that she will not tolerate Abhay’s misbehaviour. Vani suspects Shagun’s role in creating misunderstandings in their relationship and vows not to let Shagun succeed.
At the Independence Day event, Sumeet arrives alone and faces Shagun’s ridicule about his family’s supposed cowardice. However, Shagun is stunned when Shlok’s entire family arrives, as suggested by Sumeet, all of them with saffron applied on their bodies. Shagun is surprised and taunts them for adopting a life of servitude on Independence Day. She covers Sumeet’s eyes and ears, and instructs her men to put the family members in drums.
Poonam challenges Shagun bravely saying that truth will always prevail. All the family members except Shloka are sealed inside the drum. Shagun tells Shlok that they are short of one drum, so he will have to stay outside. Shloka is tied up and made to sit on a chair. Shagun reveals Shlok’s condition, and Sumeet prepares to begin his task. Although his plan to identify family members through the scent of saffron backfires when Shagun spreads the scent in the air, Sumeet is determined not to betray his family’s trust and not let Shlok down.
Vani informs Abhay that she has been called for the first ultrasound of their baby. However, Abhay vehemently refuses, expressing his reluctance to accept the child.
