Anupama tells Gurumaa that in her place any mother would choose her child between her dreams and her child, be it Leela of the olden days or Kavya and Kinjal of the modern era. She says that a mother can become modern but cannot be selfish else nothing will survive in this world. She says that women power has been given priority in their holy books, even Shiva ji needed mother power. She continues to tell how great a mother is and says that she knows she is not wrong and hopes that one day Guru Maa will also understand her. Gurumaa claps after listening to his lecture and says that Maa is the creator of the world, Maa Prakriti, but Anupama’s Maa Prakriti destroyed her whole life’s hard earned name, fame, tough worm etc. She asks why would mother nature suffer because of Anupama; She trusted Anupama blindly and put her whole life’s hard work at stake on her and got completely destroyed in return. She says Anupama never fully accepted Gurukul and was only concerned for her family, be it Samar’s marriage, Maya’s illness, or her daughter’s panic attacks. She then accuses Anuj of forcing Anupama to return in exchange for her daughter’s illness.
Anupama says nobody forced her to return, she returned because she is responsible for Maya’s death. Anuj stops her. Anupama says she needs to give an explanation at any cost and tells how Maya died trying to save her. She says if Maiya had not saved her then Mala would have been on her photo instead of Maiya. She says when Maya left the world for her, can’t she sacrifice her dreams for Maya’s daughter; She says that this guilt is haunting her and that if anything had happened to CA, she would have died; She could not fly with the burden of her soul; It was entirely her decision and the teacher could punish her as she wished; She didn’t want to stop and was doing everything possible, but when Maiya came, she realized that she was going to make a big mistake.

अनुपमा गुरुमाँ से कहती है कि उसकी जगह कोई भी माँ अपने सपनों और बच्चे के बीच अपने बच्चे को चुनती, चाहे वह पुराने ज़माने की लीला हो या आधुनिक युग की काव्या और किंजल। वह कहती हैं कि एक मां आधुनिक तो बन सकती है, लेकिन स्वार्थी नहीं हो सकती वरना इस दुनिया में कुछ भी नहीं बचेगा। वह कहती हैं कि उनके पवित्र ग्रंथों में नारी शक्ति को प्राथमिकता दी गई है, यहां तक कि शिव जी को भी मां शक्ति की आवश्यकता थी। वह यह बताना जारी रखती है कि एक माँ कितनी महान होती है और कहती है कि वह जानती है कि वह गलत नहीं है और आशा करती है कि एक दिन गुरु माँ भी उसे समझेगी। गुरुमाँ उनके व्याख्यान को सुनने के बाद ताली बजाती हैं और कहती हैं कि माँ दुनिया की निर्माता है, माँ प्रकृति है, लेकिन अनुपमा की माँ प्रकृति ने उसके पूरे जीवन की कड़ी मेहनत से अर्जित नाम, प्रसिद्धि, कठिन कीड़ा आदि को नष्ट कर दिया। वह पूछती है कि अनुपमा के कारण वह क्यों पीड़ित होगी प्रकृति माँ; उसने अनुपमा पर आंख मूंदकर भरोसा किया और अपनी पूरी जिंदगी की मेहनत उस पर दांव पर लगा दी और बदले में पूरी तरह से नष्ट हो गई। वह कहती है कि अनुपमा ने कभी भी गुरुकुल को पूरी तरह से स्वीकार नहीं किया और वह सिर्फ अपने परिवार के लिए चिंतित थी, चाहे वह समर की शादी हो, माया की बीमारी हो, या उसकी बेटी का पैनिक अटैक हो। फिर वह अनुज पर अपनी बेटी की बीमारी के बदले अनुपमा को वापस लौटने के लिए मजबूर करने का आरोप लगाती है।
अनुपमा कहती है कि किसी ने उसे वापस लौटने के लिए मजबूर नहीं किया, वह लौट आई क्योंकि वह माया की मौत के लिए जिम्मेदार है। अनुज ने उसे रोका। अनुपमा कहती है कि उसे किसी भी कीमत पर स्पष्टीकरण देने की जरूरत है और बताती है कि माया उसे बचाने की कोशिश में कैसे मर गई। वह कहती है कि अगर मैया ने उसे नहीं बचाया होता तो माला मैया की जगह उसकी फोटो पर होती। वह कहती है कि जब माया ने उसके लिए दुनिया छोड़ दी, तो क्या वह माया की बेटी के लिए अपने सपनों का बलिदान नहीं दे सकती; वह कहती है कि यह अपराधबोध उसे सता रहा है और अगर सीए को कुछ हो जाता, तो वह मर जाती; वह अपनी आत्मा पर बोझ लेकर उड़ नहीं सकती थी; यह पूरी तरह से उसका निर्णय था और गुरुमाँ उसे अपनी इच्छानुसार सज़ा दे सकती है; वह रुकना नहीं चाहती थी और हर संभव प्रयास कर रही थी, लेकिन जब मैया आई, तो उसे एहसास हुआ कि वह एक बड़ी गलती करने जा रही है।
लीला ने मैया से पूछा? अनुपमा कहती है कि वह इस अपराध बोध में थी कि उसकी वजह से उसकी बबली ने अपनी मां को खो दिया। वह फ्लाइट में बैठने और परिवार के प्रत्येक सदस्य को याद करती है जो उसे किसी भी कीमत पर न रुकने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करता था। फिर वह कल्पना करती है कि माया की आत्मा उभर रही है और उससे अनुरोध कर रही है कि वह उसके पास न जाए क्योंकि सीए को उसकी जरूरत है। वह पूछती है कि माया यहाँ कैसी है। मैया कहती है कि देवकी यह आश्वासन दिए बिना नहीं रह सकती कि यशोदा अपने बच्चे के साथ मौजूद है; एक माँ किसी भी दुनिया में शांति से नहीं रह सकती जब उसका बच्चा संकट में हो और कहती है कि एक माँ अपने बच्चे के लिए बलिदान दे सकती है और यहाँ तक कि बलिदान मांग भी सकती है, और आंसुओं के साथ उससे विनती करती है। एयरहोस्टेस उसे बुलाती है और समझाती है। बरखा कहती है कि अनुपमा ने एक भूत देखा। अनुपमा कहती है कि सीए की गुहार उसके कानों में गूंज रही थी और माया के अनुरोध को याद करते हुए उसे घबराहट का दौरा पड़ा, इसलिए उसे उड़ान को बीच हवा में रोकना पड़ा और उससे बाहर निकलना पड़ा। गुरुमाँ उसे रोकने की व्यर्थ कोशिश करती है। वह गुरुमाँ के साथ विश्वासघात के अपने कृत्य को उचित ठहराती रहती है।
अगला भाग में: लीला कहती है कि चाहे अनुपमा ने सही किया या गलत, मालती देवी निश्चित रूप से गलत करेगी। वनराज का कहना है कि इसका सीधा असर उन सभी पर पड़ेगा। अनुज अंकुश से कहता है कि वह मालती देवी को अनुपमा को नुकसान नहीं पहुंचाने देगा। गुरुमा सोचती है कि अनुपमा सोचती है कि माँ बनना उसकी सबसे बड़ी ताकत है, लेकिन वास्तव में यह उसकी कमजोरी है और वह उस कमजोरी पर हमला करेगी।
