Episode starts with Hughes saying I will plant my British flag here tomorrow, defeat these people but force them to act fast, fools like Malerao will work for us. Malerao hears a girl singing a hymn. He smiles and leaves in search of her. He reaches the temple. He turns to leave. Pandit welcomed him. Malerao says I heard a sweet melodious voice, don’t know how. Pandit says Kesar is an orphan, she comes here to serve, she stays here, she came from her aunt’s house, if she did any mistake. Malerao says no, I want to reward him. Pundit says she has great respect, she will not take any reward, if she knows you are a prince then she will not meet you. Malerao gives him his crown. He says if I meet her like a common man then she will meet me properly. He takes out the jewelery and gives it to her. He asks where will I find her. The pundit gives her a shawl and guides her. He listens to her words. He knocks on the door. She closes the door. He asks her to listen.
